10 times square
Consisting of both an office lobby and 3 story retail space, this project consisted of an extensive renovation of a Midtown office building, which was originally built in 1929 by New York Architect Ely Jacques Kahn.
There were 3 areas of work:
1. The Facade. The facade for the first 3 floors was removed and re-skinned with structural column curtain walls, which opened up the retail areas for natural daylight.
2.The Lobby. The lobby was renovated with new materials including a new terrazzo floor, wall materials, lighting, and sound system, as well as a reception desk commissioned for the space. The lobby also serves as an art gallery.
3.The Infrastructure. All retail spaces were renovated to include a new cooling tower, power, escalators, and elevators for the retail tenant.
